Tiffany Haddish Has the Advice on Success You Need

Celebrities can be hit or miss when it comes to taking their advice on success. For every self-made celebrity who fought hard and stayed the course to get where they are…well, you have a Jenner or a Kardashian, who was born into it! So, we tend not to go gaga over many celebrities, or want to share their advice…but look. You love Tiffany Haddish. We love Tiffany Haddish. It seems that everyone loves Tiffany Haddish, who broke out onto the scene with 2017’s Girls Trip. Since then, she’s given us amazing celebrity gossip, such as the saga of “Who Bit Beyoncé?” and shared hilarious anecdotes such as the time she bought a Groupon for a swamp tour with Will and Jada Smith.

Like a breath of fresh air, Tiffany seemingly came out of nowhere to spread her amazingly quotable quotes, and we really look forward to it whenever a new interview comes out with her. Tiffany, who found success in her late-30s, worked hard to get where she is today, and has some great advice on what it takes to succeed. We’re here to share some of it with you. Read on and get #inspired!

On Working

“My body is like, ‘Go to sleep!’  But my mind is like, ‘No, we gotta get this money.’”

You may have read our recent blog on the difference between “sprints” and “marathons” [link] when it comes to goal setting, and Tiffany’s here to show you just what a sprint looks like! Sometimes when you work that hard for success, once you finally get a taste of it, you want to take every opportunity you can to keep it going. We get that, and we’re not here to discourage you—after all, Tiffany is one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood at the moment, who are we to tell you her method doesn’t work?!

It’s OK to go hard after what you want, and to not apologize for it. Just remember your limits, and that sprinting, which Tiffany is clearly a pro at, isn’t sustainable if that’s all you do, so you should have slower and steady goals as well. Also, everyone has to sleep eventually... even Tiffany Haddish!

On Ambition

“The master plan is to be like little baby Oprah, with my own production company, maybe my own channel, inspire millions.”

Look, who among us doesn’t want to be a little baby Oprah?! She’s the best! We definitely see where Tiffany is coming from on this one. ;)

What does this mean for you, though? Your goals and ambitions should have no limits, and Tiffany demonstrates that. If being baby Oprah isn’t your bag, perhaps you want to be a baby Tiffany, or a baby Mark Cuban. (Ok, we’re done with the “baby” thing, now. We think only Tiffany can probably pull that off!) Modeling yourself after successful people you admire is a great way to set goals for yourself and go after them.

In very real-world terms, you have a team of Advisors whose qualities you admire…why not start there and work your way up? (Funny how that all ties together, right?!)

On Success

“Some days, I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s exactly what I worked for, and I manifested it ten years ago. I didn’t know how I was going to get here, but I got here.'”

Everyone has to start somewhere, and one of the key indicators of success is a belief that you’ll achieve it. Tiffany combines that belief, with good old fashioned hard work.  Believing in yourself, and your ability to achieve your goals, is essential towards giving you the energy to persevere when your path isn’t going as quickly as you’d like, or you’re losing a bit of faith. Somedays you have to get up and remind yourself that you’ll achieve what you want to, because it’s you doing it.

Of course, Advisors help, too. They’re there to remind you how far you’ve come in your progress, and help you track your success.

Nothing in life is guaranteed, and how you define success today may not be how you do a year from now. The important thing to do is believe in your ability to achieve what you want to achieve and have a little bit of faith that through hard work, the right Advisors helping you, and perseverance, things will work themselves out in the end.

What do you think? Did we pull some of Tiffany’s best, or leave out something on the cutting room floor? Want us to profile another celeb and their advice on success, soon? Let us know!
